See-clue-sion

A world dominated by now. Very frustrating, one needs summin! Wot if we're not upto achieving dat summin? Or if it's wot we really want! To live for ourselves we live with others share our lives. Now I travel/live at a time when all are welcome & find it difficult to adapt to politics or backstabbing in our own backyard. We all live politics by existing. So we set our table in order. Cos mine is a mess. Having a dabble in everyting means never following thru. Even tho the building blocks are there.

Preacher Man

You kno it's been put about dat the Dude does not do wot he preaches! Well I'd agree cos to me I'm not preaching; jus putting stuff out das hopefully positive & beneficial. Anyway WOT is it dat I don't do?
Writing a book about HCV side effects & methods of coping wuz an idea. Cos I'm good at ideas, seeing wot is 'so to speak.' But at no time did I state dat I would indeed could write such a book.
Tour of Duty is a good idea & I acknowledge I do have the ability to write such a book. Wot puts me off is the politics, time spent lobbying such an idea. One needs resources it's easy to type but das the outcome. Maybe one day with clarity of vision I shall write such a book. It could be printed pretty cheap in India & distributed thru the Trusts or/& forums.

Now I do chant whether it be by the book or not is debatable. But the only one who would suffer from not chanting enuff is myself.

I do go to community meets & take part in local activities & have had influence in changing stuff for the better.

Loving Kindness is not the sole domain of Buddhists nor humanity either. It is in the domain of our higher power [in my view, interpretation] Whether we choose to be influenced by people who are misdirected is up to us as the individual. It is not my intention to mislead anyone. In fact responsibility terrifies me, often I find myself backing out. Not using my potential experience to good use. So whoever might say I do not practice wot I preach would be right in the sense I do not take on the responsibilities I should cos the burden of commitment without enuff nurture means it will jus end with regret.
Thus we come to commitment summin I'm real wary of. My healer understands me she knows I can withdraw to a safe place. All dat entails is going to Suan Mohk in my mind & sitting in the meditation hall. Dis place wuz built to practice loving kindness so I suggest we do not judge or indict people on expressing demselves. Indeed if persons find/seek nurture in conflict & aggressive actions/stances one must ask oneself WHY? For dat is summin dey dare not face & so wot we as individuals get is possibly a negative feeling. Others will be attracted like Bees to honey cos dey/we do find slander an enjoyable pastime. It's wot/who we slander das important to me & our philosophy behind such slander. Attidude is summin we need to cultivate. Tis jus my view & you kno wot there are a lot of people more able than I to speak of such tings. Our life experiences are our own domain but in dose experiences mold us into who we are. Krishnamurti says it better than I. Please do not interpret my writing as preaching nor condemn me for seeking sexual release in whores in the past. It is all in the past & have no wish to partake with ladies of the night again. Wot I saw wuz a world of suffering mixed with acceptance. In fact surviving Thailand meant getting called the King by the locals raising a smile wherever I went. Keen to eat mix with the locals. It is the only way to travel y'all have a good day I'm starving ciao

Royalty & Buddhism

In Thailand monks are treated with respect. One should not hold their head higher than the monks. Nor turn yor back to them, you reverse with ones head down why? Because dey have given up all worldly goods/comforts & possess nothing. In Burma who seeing the people suffer hit the street in protest? The monks did, wot did/could the military do? Nuffin [at first anyway] due to the fact if dey shot the monks den the people would riot. Plus no soldier would shoot a monk, so the very troops would rebel. The monks were confined to the Temples & some of the leaders had to lie low. The monks were driven by suffering & took to the streets. In Thailand it is strange due to the fact the royal family survived the coup [military] the reason is down to the skills in diplomacy & suchlike. Since dey were not invaded by the Japs. It was quite a diplomatic act to let the Japanese cross the country. Whilst keeping control of the country. It was stuff like dat that meant ounce the war was over [1945] The US backed the military coup. But the leader kept the Royal Family/ruling class due to the fact he recognized their skills. The education system was westernised, but the Buddhist leaders still hold a lot of influence over the people. I can't expect people to really understand Buddhist thought but it is not religious. I wuz born a Christian & do believe in the Christian concept of God. Buddhism is a philosophy of living based on causality. Original Thought is the basis of Buddhism. I was given dis book [Original Thought] By the Chanting Monk Mehdi he was given the book himself & in turn gave it to me with loving kindness [written on the inside] I have not been well so apologise for not being about y'all have a good day The Dude

True-aspects

With the wisdom of the Buddha one can fathom the blessings that one will obtain by becoming his disciple and supporter.

One must never cease learning/accepting what is 'is.' We can change our perspective & thus our interpretation. If we are not open in mind then the mind is in danger of stagnation. falling into a false world of conceptions not based on truth but a habit mode of thought. Tis this addiction to habit where downfall may befall us.

Great indeed is the time of change. Because new sensations thoughts & deeds must be our friend not enemy. Even if great suffering is to be endured we can always be the victor. Motive strenght faith & belief are our allies. Old habits bias & dislike of anything new is our enemy.

Every morning the Sun rises as sure as every evening the Sun sets. It is to easy to let time slip through our fingers & thus another day passes no nearer to my goal then the day before. Time is like sand slipping through our fingers.

Action must be taken at some point, to be prepared 'how?' If I accept helplessnes then I must/can be happy. Since change is not for all of us. Distinguishing the subleties of fate is no easy domain.

The Opening of the Eyes

The Opening of the eyes If I remain silent, I may escape persecutions in this lifetime , but in the next life I will most certainly fall into the hell of incessant suffering. If I speak out, I am fully aware that I will have to contend with the three obstacles and four devils. But of these two courses, surely the latter is the one to choose.

President Ikeda's Guidance for Jan 27 Viewing events and situations in a positive light is important. The strength, wisdom and cheerfulness that accompany such an attitude lead to happiness. To regard everything in a positive light or with a spirit of goodwill, however, does not mean being foolishly gullible and allowing people to take advantage of our good nature. It means having the wisdom and perception to actually move things in a positive direction by seeing things in their best light, while all the time keeping our eyes firmly focused on reality

Forum war. Being our own Master & Judge.

All along the Watchtower he did keep the peace
Out into the distance he did look across the captive ground
Making sure dat no trouble would be found
The prince said Listen to wot I say
There must be some kinda confusion
There must be somewhere outta here
Cos I can't get no sleep
Out into the distance riders are there Coming from the darkness they do dare
Crossing the land and taking our peace
All along the watchower the Prince did keep his view
And the wind it did start to blow
Howling all along the watchtower the prince stood his ground
Whilst waiting for our foe he did spy into the distance
The prince said unto thee
Hey Joe where you going with dat gun in yor hand
Come here sit down and we'll hold our ground
Where does dis/our conflict come from

I am a member of several forums & see. Indeed partake! Is dat wrong?

In the sense of a 'forum conflict' it comes from jus 'being' opinions. Characters clashing arguing. A sense of priorities in conduct is needed. Some people don't take part in conflict dey will watch with wisdom, Say summin profound/true [right speak] Only to be washed away in the stream of heat [debate/conflict] Learn to listen. But people don't stop & will always [each party] be fighting for the high ground. Where is the high ground? In a moral sense it comes down to/from our conduct 'behaviour.' Moral outrage. Wotever the issue is tempers will flair. Especially if we feel abuse is the dish. Whether we are the abused/abuser or standing up for someone or cause. Opinions always run high. Confucius took conflict & put order into conflict by setting strong protocols of behaviour in ones code of conduct. Code of Conduct is an art form; a learning experience on CONDUCT basically how to carry oneself. No matter how desperate tings might be we must hold onto our sense of spirit by 'right thought.' Not easy for some of us [me included] Anyway lets say conflict is akin to lemmings! Each lemming arming demselves with righteous argument, each believing their worth correctness & the right to carry on until there is [or seems] to be a victor. Even resorting to physical brutality arming dem words. 'For I am so I will.' Fair enuff the ground is set! Opposing views incompatibility, impulses leading to emotional tension. To come into opposition fight/combat & controversy. Sad indeed is the time of controversy on these terms.

Everyone loves a cad! Why does dat term exist? Cos a cad entertains us breaking from normal protocols das exciting. But to be a character in ourselves we do not need to be cad in a bad way. Each Lemming has their good/bad side, so each will have their supporters. Each group seeing the other thru a different set of beliefs/protocols & experiences. I'm not talking about right or wrong jus how it is ok. So thru my life I have learnt [as we all do] dat suffering exists within an without us. Each person handles dat suffering in different ways. Often resorting to escape; addiction which is a form of self harm. Oh yes I've suffered; so many have & are on dis very forum. But from a Buddhist perspective if we have a problem with someone it's not down to them. It's down to us 'our ego' someting in dem causing you grief. So we must know/understand why we feel such grief & to move dat grief onto solid ground 'acceptance.' Okay if you cast prejudice away let illusion die one has to think 'there are aspects of character dat I'm wary of but das dem we're all individual an we we can all get along. I seem to be in conflict with people I admired in many ways having seen aspects of their true nature come thru. So Full of loving kindness, dey still are. So where did it all go so wrong? We all know we have a temper dis TX makes sure of dat. The Liver is a fire organ hot, so whether we like it or not 'our lives are entwined by wotever life state we're in' with a common bond 'our fire Organ is in battle.' So there comes a time when the Lemmings have not resolved their differences an both are edging nearer the cliff [whose light an whose dark is irrelevant] The fact is the abyss awaits. So we come to learning our Code of Conduct. The warring leaders separate into two groups. Each agreeing to disagree 'dis-harmony' within the land due to conflict. Refer to CONDUCT....Behaviour; managing a business 'affair' 'handling.' The act of leading, to accompany & guide people. Control to orchestrate. Wot more can be added 'the art of control enables the act of correct conduct.' Thus we become superior people. Some find these tings easy & some jus cannay ne bothered. Just live by dere rules! All kinds is 'ok' as long as one conducts demselves so dat it's outcome is not out to intentionally hurt no one. Dat is correct behaviour, most people have/practice correct behaviour. Fiery-Middleway-Calm-mixed with Loving-Caring-Compassion. All are in de MIX. Back to active conflict. Step back one's point/stance has been made, tiz time to stand still 'I believe thus I differ. So das it case closed. At some point views may change until den there is no point in carrying on [this is childish behaviour. Carrying on] The opponent begs to differ their agenda has not changed. A Battle merely a battle. Attack thru other means/influence cos when at war their are many aspects to fighting. Take yor supporters an put pressure on the opposition. To believe is to follow me into the fray. Only thru acceptance make sure one's stance is correct otherwise one will tumble due to imbalance & lose ones focus, tru enemy. No one likes losing so take losing out of the equation. It means we are/were mistaken so be it. To carry on regardless! Das folly, we do luv folly 'oh my das me jus gone by.' Good comedy but 'tragic comedy.' Carry on Regardless. Is the name of the discussion next week at 'Yor place or mine.' With The Devil/Jesus/Mohammad with Buddha moderating. Audience participation/questions. Produced by Seek Enterprises for The Hell of IT. Nuffin but a dang shame cos I gotta a lot of respect for people on de other side [forum] But one has to draw the line when people are getting hurt. Due to wot? Nuffin but entertainment possibly.

Three Kinds of Treasure

Buddhism teaches that, when the Buddha nature manifests itself from within, it will receive protection from without. This is one of it's fundamental principlines.
Just as flowers open up and bear fruit, just as the moon appears and invaribly grows full, just as plants and trees flourish with rain, so will human beings never fail to prosper when they make good causes.

Life is dancing

Live with a dancing spirit. The stars in the heavens are dancing through space, the earth never ceases to spin . All life is dancing, the trees with the wind, the waves on the sea, the birds, the fish, are all performing their own dance of life. Every living thing is dancing, and you must keep dancing too, for the rest of your life.

Daisaku Ikeda. Leader of The Soka Gakkai Institute.

I recieve with gratitude this poem sent to me. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is dancing with gratitude. It was Daisaku Ikedas 80th birthday on the 1st of January. His inspiration & teaching means so much. One can only say Nam-myoho-renge-kyo to such a teacher/leader. For that is all he asks of you; namaste The Dude
